Hello! I am Isaac Jang, a backend developer who is not afraid to learn new technologies and grow step by step every day. My motto as a developer is to approach all tasks, big and small, with sincerity and a strong sense of responsibility. Rather than simply writing code for functionality, I constantly learn and think about user empathy so that users can experience better services at every moment.
Currently, I am focusing on web service development. On the frontend, I implement user-friendly interfaces using React and Next.js, and on the backend, I build stable servers with Java (Spring Boot) and Python-based services. I have also experienced efficient workflows in collaboration and deployment environments using tools like GitHub, Vercel, and Docker.
Since starting development, I have been able to develop not only technical capabilities but also communication skills through various projects and collaboration experiences. In particular, I had to solve unexpected problems while taking on leadership roles in team projects. Once, a team member dropped out of the course without any notice, leaving little time before the deadline. While the team members were confused and angry, I first reported the situation to the course manager and coordinated appropriate penalty measures and project progress plans. Afterwards, I quickly redistributed tasks with the remaining team members and collaborated to eventually complete the project without major disruption. Through this experience, I was able to greatly develop my leadership and communication skills in crisis situations.
In another project called Holywood, I had to implement a movie recommendation system. At the time, I had basic knowledge of web development, but knew almost nothing about recommendation algorithms. I started by googling and studying recommendation systems from various companies, and in the process, I determined that Collaborative Filtering was most suitable for our system. This technology is also used by Netflix and YouTube, and works by providing recommendations based on the connection relationships between users and movies. After studying the principles in depth and applying them directly to the project, I learned the importance of not just learning new technologies, but judging why those technologies are appropriate and actually incorporating them into the project.
In the future, I want to become not just a developer who implements functions, but a developer who creates services that people can use more conveniently and enjoyably. I will continue to create a better future with an attitude of enjoying change and growth, and constantly learning and challenging myself.
